A lot of the colorless options are slow, meaning I would recommend staying away from decks that are 3+ colors (unless you find an off-color bomb or really need to splash interaction
Theres nothing saying you cant keep complimenting your opponent, and you dont even have to play Chivalrous Chevalier to compliment them either you can just do it for free
However, it is a clear signal for players to know that these cards indicate a different kind of play and that others might prefer not to play against them. While I dont agree completely with Commander Brackets or the cards on this list, I do think that this is an interesting tool for Commander players to use when talking about power levels and game expectations before shuffling up and playing a game together
Same goes for Gaston, Intellectual Power House and Gaston, Baritone Bully, or even Hiram Flavorsham and a couple of items
You get an emblem with "Pay 2 life: Add one mana of any color" and "At the beginning of your upkeep, you draw a card and you lose 1 life." If an effect would cause you to gain life past your maximum life total, you won't gain any life above your maximum life total
